I remember watching the Phil Donahue Show and there was a guy on who looked like a Vulcan extra on Star Trek and his young ashen faced and MUCH younger girlfriend talking about Seti, a Wiccan diety. The largely Liberal audience of the Donahue Show was fine with him until he revealed he was a active service Colonel in the ARMY. They gasped! Then they turned on him. But not because they were anti military. They changed their minds and didn’t want a nut in the ARMY.

Sounds like Michael Aquino (going from memory here.) He didn't have the ears of a Vulcan, but he did have those up-curled eyebrows, which he cultivated because he WANTED to look like a weirdo.
