WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Have on hand three days’ worth of water and food, an emergency supply kit for both home and automobile, radios with extra batteries, and plastic sheeting and duct tape to seal windows and doors
Make a plan for contacting family members in an emergency
Learn about different types of attacks so you will know what to do in an emergency
Do not cancel events or travel plans
Be especially aware of your surroundings and the events happening around you

“What is the duct tape for?”

I think the original posting was a sarcastic (?) referral to the former head of DHS, Tom Ridge, when he strongly urged folks to buy duct tape and heavy duty window plastic during a prior alert. (In other words, to build a “safe room” like the Israelis had during Desert Storm. Nowadays, most newly build Israeli homes/apartments have a built-in safe room with air supply and heavy duty doors/no windows.)
