If Kirk gets in, the Illinois conservatives got a lot of explaining to do.
Kirk will be an exceptional nominee and gives us a great shot at this Senate pickup.
I have to disagree with you, because the total votes for Patrick Hughes and (I think) Don Lowrey, will likely reflect the number of conservatives voting in this Illinois election.

Seriously, though, as distasteful as he is, Kirk’s got name recognition, and especially in a primary, that’s a hell of an advantage.
Live in Illinois...while I voted for Hughes, I have to say I saw very little in campaigning from his camp...where was any support from conservative groups? I don’t think most voters (the few that there were) knew anything about him.
