Whether or not Mitt Romney was "defying his church's teachings" is none of your business, nor anyone else's except Mitt and the Church.
It's exasperating that so many will presume to declare or judge what the LDS Church's position is on this or that, or how LDS leaders are supposed to behave, just to have another stick with which to beat on Mitt Romney.
If you aren't in a position of leadership responsible for Mitt Romney within the LDS Church, then the whole subject is outside of both your understanding and your concern.
Until Mitt ran for office, that would be correct. However, once he runs for office, damn right it is my business. I don't think much of a guy who would sell out his church's own sound pro-life teachings for political gain. That character counts thingy.
So on one hand, the Mitt boosters like to whine that Mitt critics are Mormon haters, but then you turn around and say Mitt's contradictions to Mormon pro-life dogma are none of the critic's business? Pretty pathetic.
So Chris, are you saying, for example, that people who are not Catholic but base their decisions on whether to vote for say, Pelosi or Kerry on the fact that they are willing to toss the beliefs aside for expediency, should not do so, that they don't understand or it is not their concern?
Wow...
