(I really am laughing. In middle school there was another boy named Charles in my spanish class, but he sometimes used “Chuck”, while I never did.
So I got the name “Carlos”, and he got the name “Chu-Chu”. Ever since then, whenever someone calls me Chuck, it makes me laugh.
My favorite high school electronics teacher always called me Chuck. Otherwise, I’ve never used Chuck, but I don’t feel slighted if people call me that.
I’ve been called a lot worse.
