I fear too many of our higher-ranking officers appear to have been selected for their PC-compatibility rather than for their military competence. . .
Nothing new there, at least not since the Clinton years.
Promotions to Flag/General Officer rank since the Reagan era have been based on an officer’s “Political Correctness” score.
Combat and leadership skills are secondary considerations.
