I'm Israeli and I have served. I don't want to get into the kind of chest-thumpin "my army is better than yours" claptrap, but I don't think most people think of the Israeli Defence Forces as being wimpy or poorly trained -- despite the fact that homosexuals serve openly in elite units. I've never heard of a male soldier being raped by another soldier in Israel -- and I imagine that would make the news. When you're surrounded by a billion people who want you dead, you don't have the luxury of turning away any loyal soldier capable of aiming a rifle in the right direction.
I see your point, and you make a good one, however IMO it is a bit more than just *Gays serving openly in the Military* it is about forcing society to accept a lifestyle most people reject..Every state that has been allowed to vote on Gay Marraige has voted an astounding *NO*
It is about standing up for Morality, not man’s version but GOD’s the GOD of the Universe..It is about standing up for Morality found in Judeo/Christian principles, being able to freely say..Homosexuality relationships are a SIN, are an abomination to a Holy Just GOD without being slapped with a Hate Crime....
We are being forced to accept a deviant immoral lifestyle by a few who say Homosexuality has a right, equal and acceptable as Heterosexuality...

Again, I simply ask you to explain why you would discriminate against males who want to shower with nude females? What is the difference between that and avowed homosexuals showering and sleeping with all males in the barracks? Are you suggesting that homosexuals are better able to control their sexual urges than heterosexual males? If not, then men should be allowed to shower and bunk with females right?
