Direct knowledge or experience... no. All I know is that the SOS project came about after the 2000 Florida election. It would only take a small amount of money and organization by the uber-left to have considerable power in the election process. Look at Ohio with Acorn and Minnesota with Franken. Nevada had some issues too I believe.

Jay Severin is a pretty sharp guy, and I have heard him say that if he were given 100,000 votes to distribute strategically wherever he wanted to around the country, that he could swing an election.

I see this as a move by the libs to undercut the foundation of elections by going directly at one of the linchpins, those who can make decisions on electoral issues in states.
