Louis Pepe was a federal prison guard at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.
The savage attack on him by two of the African embassy bombers left him without his left eye and some brain damage.

His cellmate was Khalfan Khamis Mohamed. They were accused of bombing two embassies in Africa in 1998. Later they said that they worked with Osama bin Laden and that they helped set up al Qaeda.
“We were back at their cell. It’s only me and those two guys. No supervisors. Just the three of us. Somehow, they slipped out of their handcuffs.
They sprayed me with some kind of hot sauce. I couldn’t see. They pulled me into the cell and hit me — boom, boom. They hit me so much, I swear to God, like a hundred times.
I hit my radio. I thought help would come.

These guys need to be kept in individual cells. Shave their heads, no beards, no prayer rugs, no special food, no TV’s, radios, nothing to read or write with.....nothing. We treat our most dangerous criminals this way, why not these guys? They have nothing in their cells. They just sit there the rest of their lives. They do not come out of their cells unless cuffed and chained. They are animals.
cheaper to dump them into a pool of sharks, and a valuable learning tool for cooperation from the rest.
I’d prefer a cell full of wild boar hogs.
I heard a little when it happened, but the press is slow to come forth with this side of things,now had panties been placed on these dears of the democrat party we would still be hearing about it 24/7 .

I am afraid the idea by Eric Holder to bring the KSM trial to NYC is all too simple to explain. Holder and his group of insider pals planned to hold these trials in the media capital of the world. This has nothing to do at all with legal issues or demonstrating the power and fairness of our judicial system. Holder and his friends are publicity whores plain and simple. The defense lawyers most of them friends of Holder, would be instant celebrities and household names during the non-stop media circus throughout a trial that would last a year or more. They would be living in the finest NYC hotels, dining at the best places and be seen everywhere.
Recall the OJ trial and the notoriety of the lawyers, judges, aides and everyone even remotely related to the trial. Well the KSM trial would make the OJ trial look like traffic court. These lawyers would be famous throughout the world, writing books, giving lectures and have the media following like the pied piper. This would be a media event unparalleled anywhere. Every single night hours would be committed by every cable network to the daily events. Reporters would do anything for a scoop. Instant celebrity for the defense teams and these teams would be selected by Holder himself. Instant celebrities and instant millionaires would be the result.
Now take this trial to Guantanamo Bay and see what kind of notoriety these sleazy legal maggots receive. None, just a droning day by day trial with little publicity and no chance to grandstand. The NYC hotels would be replaced by a tent. Dinner at “Elaines” would be replace by mess hall food. Worst of all nobody would care. One day in the future the trial outcome would be announced and the details of the trial would be relegated to irrelevance.
Holder and his group of insiders will fight like demons to keep this trial in NYC or some other media capital. They do not want any part of Gitmo.
