Since you claimed to have an epiphany...

I've travelled through and lived in Arab countries. My recommendation would be to visit one for an extended period of time and see if you like the culture built upon the religion. I recommend Oman. Never been there myself but I've heard it's a stable Muslim country without all the Western influences.

Read Navy Vet’s past posts. This rambling nonsense indicates, to me, that this honorable patriot’s account was hacked. This is the wildest 180 in posts I’ve ever seen.

Buddhism makes a lot more sense, heck, so does $cientology.. If you are going to play around with religion like a 12 year old tries hobbies, give those a shot.

CANNOT POST THIS ENOUGH!!!

“As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

Nation % Muslim
United States 1.0%
Australia 1.5%
Italy 1.5%
Norway 1.8%
Canada 1.9%
China 2.0%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

Nation % Muslim
Denmark 2.0%
United Kingdom 2.7%
Germany 3.7%
Spain 4.0%
Thailand 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. (United States).

Nation % Muslim
Switzerland 4.3%
Philippines 5.0%
Sweden 5.0%
The Netherlands 5.5%
Trinida and Tabago 5.8%
France 8.0%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world. When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris –car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam - Mohammed cartoons).

Nation % Muslim
Guyana 10.0%
India 13.4%
Israel 16.0%
Kenya 10.0%
Russia 15.0%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

Nation % Muslim
Ethiopia 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

Nation % Muslim
Bosnia 40.0%
Chad 50.1%
Lebanon 59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

Nation % Muslim
Albania 70.0%
Malaysia 60.4%
Qatar 77.5%
Sudan 70.0%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:

Nation % Muslim
Bangladesh 83.0%
Egypt 90.0%
Gaza 98.7%
Indonesia 86.1%
Iran 98.0%
Iraq 97.0%
Jordan 92.0%
Morocco 98.7%
Pakistan 97.0%
Syria 90.0%
Tajikistan 90.0%
Turkey 99.8%
United Arab Emirates 96.0%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim: Nation % Muslim
Yemen 99.9%
Afghanistan 100.0%
Saudi Arabia 100.0%
Somalia 100.0%

Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.”

There is NO valid comparison of the holy books, the Bible and the Koran as to violence. The Bible mandates destruction of one group of people in one place in one (long completed) time period. All violence by Christians and Jews since that time has been extra-Biblical. The Koran mandates destruction or enslavement of ALL people everywhere at every time who do not submit to Islam. Religious based violence is not a factor in the modern world from Christians and Jews. It has been the prime factor in relations with Moslems and Moslem societies for 1300 years and is scheduled in the Koran and in the Hadiths and the Biography, all the authoritative writings of Islam for time in perpetuity or until there are nought but Moslems and the dead.

Alzheimer's isn't pretty, but there are treatments that can slow your decline and improve the quality of your remaining years.

Hopefully someone who loves you will realize you've begun to decline and will take you to a doctor for a diagnosis and to begin your treatment.

There's no way a rational person could embrace the cult of mohammed Obviously you have suffered some profound mental degradation.

“ISLAM MAY HAVE A POINT!”

Isalm has many points.
The point of a knife, the point of a gun, point of a sword, point of rock to stone rape victims to death, point of a scalpel to dismember a woman’s genitals, etc, etc,..

Here's how the mormons evade and invalidate the Lord Jesus' final warning in the Holy Bible. Anyone who accepts a (false) prophet after Jesus' final Revelation is accursed; the mormon gospel is alleged to have come from out the Holy Temple during the inter-Testamonial Period between the OT and the NT. Warning, even the phony mormon prophet Joe Smith & Co. feared the JUDGEMENT of Jesus Christ.

Let me tell you from personal experience NV, the closer you draw to a holy & perfectly righteous God, the more frightening it gets! Look at what the Prophet Isaiah said about coming into the presence of the Lord! He was totally UNDONE (driven completely insane) by the realization of his state of utter depravity! Now remember Isaiah was a holy man, raised in the Holy Temple and dedicated from birth to serve God in His Temple.

The fact that you are experiencing 'no fear' in your visions should be a massive wake up call for you! Islam fears nothing superficially, that's it's attraction to mortal me NV! But, you must fear the Biblical reality of JUDGEMENT and the soon coming Kingdom of Jesus Christ! If you are sincerely seeking God, you can only find Him in brokeness and humility Not in the bravado and hubris of Islam

Even so Come Lord Jesus!

I have experienced a religious conversion as well.

I no longer believe in a Christian, Jewish, Islamic, or other form of God.

I do not believe we can possibly comprehend the consciousness of God for He is ALL Consciousness, a concept that is so foreign to us, that we cannot possibly fathom it with our little 3-lb brains.

The Creator *IS* the Creation, and He is made out of Love.

Sounds like we may have another Major Nidal Malik Hasan on our hands here. Maybe we should consider contacting the appropriate authorities. This kind of posting really concerns me.

You also have to keep in mind the the Quran is really two books, one part written in Mecca, and a later part written in Medina (this is indicated at the beginning of each chapter). The Meccan verses are the "peaceful" verses, the later chapters are the "kill the infidels" verses. The later supersedes the former in Islamic theology.

Here's a central problem for Islam: Mohammad is the Perfect Man, whose behavior is held to be an example for all Muslims to follow:
Quran chapter 33 verse 21, three translations

YUSUFALI: Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.
PICKTHAL: Verily in the messenger of Allah ye have a good example for him who looketh unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembereth Allah much.
SHAKIR: Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent exemplar for him who hopes in Allah and the latter day and remembers Allah much.

Mo is the "exemplar". And who was Mo? He was a sand pirate, a man who made his living from robbing caravans and sacking towns and cities. He was a murderer, a rapist, and a pedophile. By modern standards he was a psychopath.

This is the Islamic Perfect Man.

I am NOT a Muslim (I am a Christian), but I think the comments on this thread by many have gotten WAY out of line.

Regardless of this person’s beliefs, you people have no right to attack them, call them names, or compare them to animals.

“A Navy Vet” is a human being, just like the rest of us and is entitled to their beliefs.

I came across this thread today and I was outright disgusted by the comments I saw by many who were claiming to be “Christians.” Think about this: would Jesus make the same comments that you all have been making? Is what you all are saying considered “loving?”

The brutal and malicious attacks against people of other faiths must stop and it must stop NOW! This is not how we live as Christian examples.

Free Republic is NOT a “Christian-only club.” I have been on this website for years and I have NEVER seen such despeciable attacks against a person. I am asking that everyone please calm down and discuss things in a civil manner.

Thank you!
