How soon generally do they have embassy people leave beforehand..is there a time frame that is common?

It depends on the circumstances. Rarely do we close down an embassy. Usually, the first to go are non-essential personnel and dependents. In the Gulf War the decision was made initially to keep people there [in Saudi Arabia] yet in 32 other countries we evacuated non-essential personnel and dependents. We finally had an evacuation, i.e., voluntary departure, just before the war started.

The decision to evacuate is a political one more than anything else. I won't go any further than that.

Thanks for not revealing more...appretiate what was given.

Islam is a nasty political/religious/lifestyle to say the least...but the Mullahs and leadership of ME countries will never consider reform or anything other than what is.

Islam is exactly what Muhammed used to maintain his control over the people and it worked. And it is exactly the same control of the people the Mullahs and leadership use to maintain their power. Which is why it’s teachings are begun in childhood...and why Muhammed’s name is often a part of everyones name in the arab countries. Linking everything to Islam is vital for their control of the people...thus they retain their power.
