it wont be long before the remaining 1/3 of the bible prophecies will be literally fulfilled. daniel (and many other bible authors and prophets) describe a ruler, who over a short period of time, takes control of the world. the beginning of his rule is to establish a peace treaty which enables the building of the Jewish temple.

The 3rd Temple will be built, because the bible says it will happen. I don't know how this will happen right now, because it seems impossible. The Dome of the Rock is right there. But then again, in 1939, who could have dreamed that Israel would be reborn and the worlds most massive immigration back to a country in history would ever happen?

It is obvious Muslims built their shrine to Muhammad on the same spot as the Jewish Temple to "squat" there. They knew it was THE holy site for the Jews. Satan knew it too.

The Anti-Christ will negotiate the rebuilding of the Temple, but his motives are to desecrate it once built and install his image there to be worshiped. I am trying to fathom the terms that the world (and fanatical Islam) would accept for the Temple to rebuilt. Obviously, this would be a day of great joy for Jews everywhere.

Here are some "possibilities" I can think of. Not all of these would have to occur, just thinking out loud:

- The Dome of the Rock is destroyed by earthquake, fire, or an air strike in a war

- There is a nuclear war between Israel and Iran, and the world calls for a concrete peace treaty

- The Muslims themselves blow up the Dome of the Rock in a feeble attempt to blame it on Israel to provoke war

Israel was not reborn in 1939, it was reborn May 14 th 1948...
How long is a generation ? 20 years ? 40 years ? 60 years ? 70 years ?
The number 7 is siginicant in the bible and to God...
On May 14 ( 7+7 = 14 ) 1948, it will be the 70th anniversary of Israel's rebirth .

12+12 = 24
24+24 = 48

12 is the number of the tribes of Israel, and the number of apostles Jesus choose.

From the picture, it looks like it's on a slant, the other building ( the platform ) maybe on the center peak.

Good question. No - I am not - and I have seen some artistic drawings that show how they could exist side by side.

BUT - I find this very, very, very unlikely.

It is just my opinion, but I believe the Dome of the Rock must somehow be utterly destroyed in order to make way for the 3rd Temple.

I know that. I was making a point that even before WW II began in the spring of that year, it was almost unimaginable that the Jews would return to their homeland after the Diaspora.

For that matter, it was unimaginable in 1890. Or 1923.

The point was, what seemed impossible, was possible because God has a plan.
