Barack Obama ran for president to be a transformational leader like FDR, who came into office amid an economic crisis and passed sweeping legislation that fundamentally remade the government and country. Obama had no interest in the “small ball” presidency of Bill Clinton’s second term. But now, after Scott Brown’s Massachusetts upset dealt a seemingly fatal blow to his health care plans, he may be setting his sights a little lower:

Dear President Obama,

All the grand rhetoric and pompous class warfare political posturing is meaningless to a guy looking for a job, worried about keeping his job or one wondering about his children's future.

It is still the Economy, stupid. Actions speak louder then words.
