Graham: Congress Needs A Win On Climate Policy
National Journal ^ | 2010-01-27

Posted on 01/29/2010 9:37:42 PM PST by rabscuttle385

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said today that skeptical Republicans and Democrats should throw their support behind climate change legislation not only because it's good for the economy and the environment, but because Congress desperately needs a win under its belt.

"We tried immigration. It's hard. And we failed. We tried Social Security. It's hard. And we failed. We tried health care. It's really hard. And it looks like we're going to have to start over again," Graham somberly told a luncheon audience of energy and climate advocates on the Hill. "On the energy, climate change front, I don't want to add that to the list. There is no reason in my mind that the Republican Party and the Democratic Party can't come together."

Fcuk you Graham. Why don't you stick to where your strengths are -- whooping the collective a$$es of the administration of embattled President Obama on national security, and leave the "hard" things like economic and climate policy to the adults in the room.

The only thing I can think of that explains Lindsay Graham's current policy positions is homosexual blackmail.

How can you blackmail someone with actions that are acceptable to both political parties?

Has Miss Lindsey Graham been doing lines (and other "things" ) with Barry down in the WH basement?

When did this guy move to the left of Olympia Snowe?

“Not sure why he is pushing this so much. Climategate can not just be ignored. He must be getting something out of it. If anything they should be calling for an investigation into the fraud, otherwise he becomes part of it.”

Does everyone forget the Bush years......Schumer et.al. held hearings constantly, regardless of the baseless claims that precipitated those worthless, partisan charades?!

We have democrat legislators, cabinet members and other political appointees in this administration who don’t pay their taxes. There is insurmountable evidence of impropriety within the “climate change” sect that screams for an intense investigation and full disclosure.

Graham has no honor if he can ignore destroyed emails, skewed data and contradictory information and push our nation toward economic disaster while the true polluters of our planet, who also happen to despise our nation, laugh at our stupidity for electing people like Graham, obama et.al.

God bless our military and their families and God save our country.

He also told reporters later that there are Republicans willing to vote for a bill that has some type of emissions control if there are robust provisions for nuclear energy and offshore oil drilling. Like they are going to let that happen.

The biggest win they could have is to fire themselves and go home without pay, leaving the American people alone and not adding anymore bad laws!!!

There is a reason in my mind why Republicans should not work with Dems on this issue - it is poor policy built on junk science and worship of mother earth. As for the other issues, Lindsey, “the people” didn’t want the terrible policies on most of those fronts. The only one I could even think to support was privatization of social security, but most people would not like that after the way the market tanked last year.

If Juan McCain wins they will flip.

"They?" The senate? I don't think they have 30 votes for crap and trade.

We must either remove McCain; otherwise, any conservatarian victories in November will be for naught.

They don't have 30 senate votes for crap and trade. McCain and Graham can't do it by themselves.

Knock McCain out of the senate this year and it will weaken Graham and then we can knock this asshat out when he’s back up for election.

This fool has got to go!

‘We The People’ are now back in power! Donate directly to candidates and not the RNC, GOP, etc...
