On January 7, President Obama finally gave us the “surprising” and indeed “shocking” details of the Christmas Day attempt by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab — the now infamous underpants bomber — to destroy an airliner and kill all aboard plus an unknown number of others on the ground.

Things have not stood still since President Obama’s speech on January 7. Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair is reported to have said on January 20

The decision to try Mr. Abdulmutallab in federal district court in New York, or in any other civilian court, was a very bad mistake. Valuable intelligence has been lost, and the trial is likely to be a farce.

Even if they move the trial to that nearby NY island, rest assured that attacks SOMEWHERE in NYC will ensue:

The muzzies KNOW that future operations might involve their boys being taken prisoner, so they will want to demonstrate in a visible way to potential targets that any trial would SOMEHOW come under attack if they have such trials. Those attacks will happen even if the bottom-line effects are modest —the point is VISIBILITY.

And the effect of that will be that those countries will do whatever they can to avoid being targeted in the first place.

Everyone knows how busy it got for the Brits in Northern Ireland, right? Can you guess at the ACTUAL number of *full-time* members that the IRA had...? 100...! ONE HUNDRED GUYS..!

But AQ —do they have more or less than 100, ya figger?
