Obama doesn’t “get” or “not get” anything. He only reads what the teleprompter says. Obama is a president by committee, the committee being the people who have to agree on what goes on the teleprompter. Therefore, you can derive very little of his or his committee’s intentions from his speeches. They are consensus statements.
The question is wheteher his handlers get it, and one would be foolish to believe that they don’t. They just don’t care, and they will keep on with the agenda.
I didn’t watch the SOTU but it seems to have all boiled down to the old joke line, “The beatings will continue until morale improves”.
“Does Mr. Obama really get it?”

After seeing the “Big M” it’s hard to imagine how he could want it.
If Obama gets it, he is evil.
If he doesn't, he's incompetent.
