Wouldn’t know ... never had a gun pointed at me by a WHITE PERSON
I never had a gun pointed at me by anyone other than a white person, but I have had the unpleasant experience of dealing with white trash who did just that.
No one in their right mind would argue that ghetto culture is a model for society, but I know and associate with many fine black folk who I would trust more than some of the white folks I know.
I think our goal should be to ACKNOWLEDGE THAT BLACK AND WHITE CULTURE IS DIFFERENT. They don’t want to live in our world, but they don’t want to be shut out from the privileges and benefits (usually money and opportunity), either. That is a bumpy road to walk, and missteps on both sides are going to be unavoidable.
Neither prejudice nor this silly “reverse-racism” like in the article are not helpful.
I have. When I was mugged at gunpoint, the officer asked what color the perp was. When I answered "white", his eyes widened, and he asked "are you sure"? LOL.
