Iran said yesterday that it had executed two men for plotting to overthrow the regime. They are the first to be put to death after more than 100 dissidents went on trial following President Ahmadinejad’s disputed re-election last June.
The hangings of Mohammad Reza Ali Zamani and Arash Rahmanipour marked an escalation in the regime’s attempts to crush the opposition movement through Iran’s clerical courts.
The two men were hanged before dawn, hours before prosecutors announced death sentences for five more opposition members arrested in connection with the protests on the Shia holy day of Ashura last month in which eight demonstrators were killed and hundreds arrested. The number of alleged dissidents sentenced to death is now at least 11.

Let’s see if the Iranian opposition have the ‘nads to stand up to this and overthrow their oppressors, and proclaim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Seems the thug government has set a new standard for discourse. May turnabout be swift and just.
It merely warns them that the next time they rise up, they might as well go for broke since they have nothing to lose but their lives.
As Krauthammer said last month...that the greatest failure of Obama’s first year was the failure to adequately support and capitalize on that uprising in Iran.
It might have been the only chance for the Iranian people to overthrow the regime.
Meanwhile, he pressed ahead on Obamacare, trying terrorists in civilian courts, and flying to Copenhagen for photo ops.
It’s not that he just failed in what he was trying to do. He failed in what he didn’t try to do.
