Seems to me that if y'all are going to dredge up the Keating Five on McCain then Hayworth's relationship with Abramoff is fair game.
If you guys want a clean candidate for this Arizona Senate seat you need to keep looking.
Speaking for myself, I don't think either man did anything illegal. As far as the Keating Five scandal went, I know the Democrats demanded a Republican be added to the complaint in order to make it a problem for "both parties" and they knew McCain had done nothing wrong. But I don't believe that contributions donated to campaigns by someone who has been tainted should be an ethics violation unless a vote change can be pointed to.
If J.D. committed a crime, indict him. He didn't. Neither did McCain.
