Obama and Vice President Joe Biden plan to announce grants for 13 major corridors during a town hall meeting in Tampa, Fla., Thursday, the president's first public appearance following his speech to the nation

Needless to say, I like this idea also...
Of course, a lot depends on specifically which projects get funded and which do not.
With many more worthy projects needing funding than what's currently available, I hope they actually make some good selections rather than pi$$ away the opportunity.
