Palin is the only thing that brought life to McCain's sinking campaign. She energized the base and took a relentless shellacking in the media.
She did her part and owes McCain nothing at all. Her endorsement has no upside for her; it was a stupid move.
Actually Palin was already becoming a conservative/republican star, when McCain chose her, she did not come out of nowhere, that is why she was so high in Intrade predictions.
