Not all of the FBI, just the “eager beavers” looking to score points with the politicians in the bureau, and there are a LOT of them.

"I wonder how the FBI was so fast on this?"

I think it's reasonable to assume that Lanrieu's office is in the same building as the New Orlean's FBI office. My guess is someone from Landieu's office called the FBI, as would be protocol when anything strange happens in a federal office. How long can it possibly take for an agent to meander a few floors down to the site of the alleged crime? I don't think it's any great mystery "how the FBI was so fast on this".

The MSM will have to explain how it is the filmaker was a big deal, when they never showed the films.

The Feds go absolutely ape if there is a hint of unauthorized wiretapping. If O’Keefe was trying to plant a bug, they will crucify him. This is one crime where even the cops will (sometimes) eat their own.

They were arrested later by the U.S. Marshal's Service. Details of the arrest were not available. A fourth man, Stan Dai, 24, was also arrested,

None available huh? A fishing expedition. I smell cheesy charges by ACORN aka Holder.

"I don’t know whether they are guilty or not, but I’m not going to jump to slandering the FBI agents involved until I know more. And I must say that if they did as described, that was incredibly stupid and we can’t and shouldn’t defend it."

Thank you for the voice of reason. I agree completely.

This will probably be bigger than Watergate for the Democrats now and just show how evil all conservatives/Republicans are. That’s the way the media will play this up.

This could not come at a worse time. The only good thing is that O’Keefe (as of yet) hasn’t really identified himself with being part of any Tea Party or Republican movement. I know that won’t prevent the media from tying him to them, but they can’t make any ties.

The police report says that all four admitted they had entered the premises under false pretenses.

If they attempted to screw around with the phone system, they are in deep doo-doo.

I’m having a hard time finding the actual crime. Did they, in fact, place a bug? Or did they just ask to use the phone, and did so?

This doesn’t sound clear cut, or there were be more “meat” to that affidavit.

I think they admitted to recording people in the office, not tampering or interfering with the phone system.

“The media could not ignore O’Keefe when he exposed ACORN.

But now I bet they won’t be able to stop talking about him”

You are correct, however, this was downright stupid on O’Keefe’s part and he deserves whatever bad press he gets. Even if he had not been caught, how did he figure he would be able to use any information he obtained without questions being raised? Moreover, its immoral. The fact that his ACORN sting was great does not release him from culpability here.

“Could O’Keefe be that stupid, or is this some sort of frame up?”

Yes, I am sure that US Attorney Jim Letten who is a Republican appointed by George W. Bush is now in the business of framing Conservative activists.

Yeah, that must be it.

If they are trying to “frame” this guy, this will backfire in a big way. The American people are tired of the Chicago way of government. Obama and the Dems better hope this isn’t a fishing expedition.

I am not excusing his behavior. If he committed a crime, he should do the time.

Hey, the Federal pen is a much better place than the Louisiana State Prison in Angola.

Breitbart challenged Holder to investigate ACORN or he would release the rest of the ACORN sting videos just before the November 2010 elections.

It seems Holder was paying attention. Destroying O’Keefe’s credibility goes a long way toward reducing the effectiveness of the ACORN sting videos to be released at some future time.
