I am actually looking forward to seeing Ellen on the show. I think she is a hoot. I am so thankful that I can separate entertainment and my politics. I mean really, does it really matter what Ellen on American Idol have to do with the real world. Some of you guys are serious stick in the muds.
But since you brought it up, FOX naming Ellen to replace Paula had everything to do with POLITICS. This was FOX's mad scramble to appease its gay viewers when Lambert lost in the finals last season to Kris Allen. The conventional wisdom was all the "family value" viewer voted against Lambert because he is gay. The gay groups pounded FOX and before you know it, a gay judge with ZERO music experience for next season.
