I don’t know where people are having these deplorable Verizon experiences for home/internet/FIOS.

You couldn’t separate me from them. My experiences have always been good, I’ve had one outage with them in 5 years due to a cable being cut during construction. They seemingly lower my bill every time I call about specials, new/upgraded services.

FIOS is godly and they gave me a $200 gift card and guaranteed my rates for 2 years WITHOUT a contract. I know customer service is YMMV but I’m very happy with them.

We LOVED fios, but moved to an area that only offered Comcast, so we had to go with them. First thing we noticed was how much comcast customer service had improved. Competition is a great thing. Our experience with verizon wireless customer service is so-so, but we like the coverage. It’s a good company and unless something dramatically changes, we plan to stick with them. Fios has now moved to our area, so we will have to make a cable decision come next year.

I’ve found Verizon’s customer service to be OUTSTANDING; always courteous, very helpful. The walk-in stores are so-so.

I said that I wouldn’t try their other services because of my experience with their wireless division. The actual wireless product is fine, it’s the customer service that is lacking. Maybe I’m old school, but customer service-the relationship with the person-is just as important as the actual product.

I have rarely had reason to contact Verizon concerning my service in the last 4 years. But, on those occasions, the interaction was very poor because of detached or unprepared staff. Their website-billing, etc.-is consistently so slow and antagonizing that I avoid visiting it at all costs. If they can’t get their website to function properly, why would I buy internet service from them?

We have been Verizon Wireless customers for years - good coverage, good service and any time there was an issuse, it was addressed and fixed.

I WISH i could get FIOS. I live in rural upstate NY but about 10 minutes north of a city. I’m stuck with the local mickey mouse telco’s DSL. And they charge big time money for what little service they offer.

Verizon FIOS is a reliable system and I have not had one single problem.
