Bill’s largest donors are going bankrupt left and right. Pascrell promised the construction trades guys steady work from the stimulus package and most of the projects have been tied up on environmental impact studies. Pascrell’s lawyer buddies are not hiring new law school grads for the first time in their decades long careers. Pascrell’s media supporters are basically all bankrupt and have eliminated the political beat reporters to save money, meaning the NJ Dems have only uninterested greenhorns to push their message.
On top of that the unions in NJ have large numbers of card carrying members falling off the 18 month support system and the union leaders are playing it straight since Christie and Sweeney are on good terms, leaving Federal office Dems without the support on the ground.
And now the NJ gov employee job cuts are rolling in daily, for many of these people it’s the first time they’ve contemplated unemployment since the day they landed their secure government bennies jobs.
So few jobs in Pacrell’s district the illegal aliens are leaving in droves.
Massive local and state tax and fee increases, yet the senior citizens and disabled get no COLA increase this year, next year, and talk of no increase in 2012 either, plus you got Obama trying to take aware their medical benefits.
The anti-banker sentiment being carried out by Obama Frank Pelosi etc is going to crush the already fragile situation Pascrell’s upper income leftist constituents are facing as Bloomberg decries the fleecing and then fleeing of banking and finance sector from NYC.
Of the historical Dem constituencies in Pascrell’s district, I don’t see any group that is happy with the political and economic situation.
Pascrell’s district is very similar to the suburbs of Boston, and Pascrell is very well aware of it.
That’s really a good analysis, wasted on FR. The mainstream of the Dem party has always been in on it because it worked for them. Now it doesn’t, and they don’t know what to do.
