We should get rid of the Department of Education as that is a state and local responsibility. The Department of Education is Nationalizing the content and method of public schools.
The Department of Energy has turned into a corporate pork barrel. Funding minimal peer reviewed, research for invention is one thing...funding manufacturing and sales outlets is another. Actually funding for alternative energy research and invention could be moved to NASA or DOD and the Department of Energy could be abolished.
