Wasn’t that Saddam’s theory as well?
Food is a right, but the water needed to grow it is a privilege.
Got it?
As I have been known to say, he’s just not all that smart.
Carbon dioxide is a pollutant.
Two gents can marry each other.
Scott Brown’s victory last week was a referendum against the failed policies of George W. Bush.
It sounds like the only thing that obama is “fighting” is reality.
The Gubmint in Kalifornia will need to amend its thinking.
“Some are making millions as a result of this action. WHO? WHY? WHERE? WHEN? HOW? “
From the article
... as farmers lose their farms and residents are forced to import food from China.
Answer, CHINA! Yay, the same people who poisoned our dogs and their own BABIES through formula with FAKE chemical protein is going to be feeding us too! Hope and change, yeah baby!
He can't possibly be this stupid.
I do not see where Obama was actually quoted saying the headline quote. Am I missing it on BG.com?
Isn’t water required by all organisms on this planet to live?
Conan Obama to San Joaquin farmers: DROP DEAD.
By diverting water from agriculture they are virtually eliminating the landowner from making any money. In the meantime his mortgage, equipment expenses and taxes must be paid. Since his income is reduced or elminated this means he cannot make his payments. This inability to make payments means he will lose his land. This means that the poltically connected will get that land at bargain basement prices. After the politically connected get the land the diversion of the water will stop or the land will be developed. The politically connected will make billions. This my children is how the environmental protection laws work.
I heard this same quote about a driver’s license but not water or food.
We at the ranch don’t shop regularly at Walmart as we don’t like being run over by unruly children playing tag in the store, so I don’t have a dog in this fight, but I want to add to your commentary.
Seems every market we shop at, be it the local Stater Bros.(mostly), Albertson’s (rarely), or Ralphs (rarely) all sell produce labeled from either Mexico, Chile, Argentina, or other South American Nations, as well as American brands the same as WalMart does. We know this as we have been to a couple of WalMart stores over the years, but just don’t do them on a regular basis.
WalMart therefore isn’t the reason for said politicking with our water resources in our opinion as much as the reason should be assigned we believe to Leftist mischief for the purpose of ruining the economy, and devastating farm families for the further purpose of redistributing their wealth once they are forced from their land in bankruptcy process.
It seems the Left has a reason for their brazen actions, and their push for Amnesty for the illegals which is most likely the establishment of friendly future Democrat voters.
Water is a privilege?!
How about food stamps?
I did not either.
and — water is not a right for US citizens, but _illegal aliens_ have a right to health care - got it.
Kind of reminds me of Saddam’s policies towards the marshland Arabs in Iraq. Right from Saddam’s textbook.
Oh...but water IS a right for illegal aliens...don’t forget about those water tanks they set up for the aliens so they won’t get thirsty when invading our country.
Stalin declared that food was not a right when he starved 10 million Ukrane farmers to death.
What a crock of BULLSHIT!!The United States Constitution guarantees it’s citizens the right to life, liberty and Happiness. WELL water is life, physical and economic.
STOP these LUNATICS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
