Still reeling from the upset victory of Sen.-elect Scott Brown, R-Mass., earlier this week, President Obama is augmenting the political operation at the White House by bringing several key 2008 campaign aides back into the fold.
Senior White House officials tells ABC news that Obama for America campaign manager David Plouffe will soon set up shop at the Democratic National Committee to oversee House, Senate, and gubernatorial races this fall, in what is shaping up to be a difficult political environment for Democrats.
"Plouffe is one of the smartest guys in the business, he has the full trust of the President and his team, and we appreciate any and all help he can give us," White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer said. "This is a very challenging political environment and you want all the best players on the field."
In the wake of the loss of the Massachusetts Senate seat -- the first time a Republican has been elected to represent the Bay State since 1972, when President Obama was 11 -- the president has ordered a review of the Democratic Party's entire political operation.
In addition to the return of top aides such as Plouffe, other mid-level operatives from the 2008 Obama campaign who helped bring candidate Obama victories in Iowa and in Feb. 5 "Super Tuesday" primary states, will be enlisted to work on campaigns to keep expected Democratic losses to a minimum, aides said.(continued)

We hide behind stonewalls here in New England - till we see the whites of their eyes.
Exactly.
He’s coming aboard to show them how to be better liars.
High praise indeed,
Not true. The problem the Obamination has is that his "08 team" was working with a blank slate. Obama was a virtual unknown back then and his image could be molded in the press (and was.)
Now the majority of Americans see the Obamination for who he really is and they don't like him, his administration or the commiecrats as a whole.
They can try to reshape Obama's image but there just isn't enough polish to take off the tarnish on Obama.
Well, I am reminded of the old saw “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
The LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist/Fascist Bastards fooled us in ‘08.
That is not likely to happen again!
The LSMFBs will not be able to lie to us again and get away with it. They will be called out, made to answer for their false pronouncements and held accountable for voting against America.
There will be a lot of ex-Representatives and ex-Senators looking for work in January, 2011!
When Plouffe was selling a guy nobody ever heard of, wrapped in ribbons of "Hope" and "Change," he was a success. This time he's selling a guy that people have been watching for a year, and he's wrapped in chains named "recession" and "unemployment" and "deficit". Good luck with that. |
My only argument (if you really want to call it that) is that Obama is the SAME person he was back in 08 only that the unwashed masses didn't know or want to know just what kind of person he really is.
That's all. He cannot be remade because he has been shown by his own actions as the person he really is. Any attempt to "change" him will fail. The only thing he could do to change the way a majority of people feel about him right now is to run as fast as he can to the center right.
That being said, I don't think Obama is capable of doing that. He will only get harsher and more egotistical as the rest of his term plays out. That's all.
Sorry if you thought I was trying to argue with you.
