Anyone remember the big deal the media made in 2000 about supposedly "subliminal" messages in a Republican ad? (The DemocRATS "scandal".) That was a phony scandal that was played up big, right during the middle of a presidential race, and probably cost Bush - along with the 11th hour drunk-driving revelation - just enough votes in Florida to lead to the re-count fiasco.
If this were Republicans - nationwide - issuing letters with phony names and addresses, it would already be a front-page scandal.

How about when they found out that Armstrong Williams was being paid to do positive programming for the Bush Administration. OMG, they went crazy!
