The Christmas Bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, was babysat by CBP police and whisked away immediately to the hospital at the University of Michigan Medical Center's burn unit after his terror attempt. These were the first, official (mis)judgments of the government's response (if you can call it that) to the Christmas Bomber's terror attack, in what has now been revealed to be a continuous series of failures. You know, as opposed to more appropriate actions that more decisive leadership would see happen, such as an immediate turnover to military custody and intense interrogation. You know, the sort of thing that actually saves lives and insures as much intelligence as possible is gleaned from the terrorist.
