Is associating with the Rev. Jesse Jackson a forgivable offense for a GOP political candidate? Chuck DeVore seems to think not.
The campaign of the Irvine assemblyman, who is seeking the GOP nomination in this year's U.S. Senate race, sent an e-mail to reporters with a link to audio of his rival, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, speaking fondly about Jackson at a reception this week. DeVore spokesman Josh Trevino called the comments "whoppers."
"I thought about something the Rev. Jesse Jackson said to me several years ago," Fiorina told the audience. "We were doing some work together for his Rainbow Coalition." She said she took it to heart when Jackson told her, "You know Carly, every game is better when everybody gets to play... Everything is better when all people, regardless of color or nationality or gender -- get to play. Sports are better, business is better, politics is better -- the world is better when everyone gets to play in the things that matter."
Fiorina worked with Jackson on his efforts to bring ethnic and racial diversity to Silicon Valley, .. participated in three conferences organized by Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH Coalition. ..
.. Fiorina spokeswoman Julie Soderlund. "It goes without saying that as a mainstream conservative, unlike Barbara Boxer, Carly Fiorina strongly disagrees with Jesse Jacksons political agenda."
.. She called DeVore a "career politician." Trevino shot back, "If five years of Assembly experience makes Chuck DeVore a career politician, I guess that officially makes Carly Fiorina a fired CEO." Looks like campaign season is finally here.

Go Chuck!
Let the polls lie and the moderates&CaGoP collude ..
You are the best candidate to represent this state.
Vote in the primary FoR Chuck and keep the Spirit of the 2nd
American Revolution Alive in California.
Go Chuck Go!
Translation: Fiorina (a noted beneficiary and practitioner of affirmative action herself) helped Jackson strong arm Silicon Valley companies into paying off Jackson to go away.
Said companies, all of which were pretty diverse to begin with, responded by off-shoring more jobs to countries that don't have Jessie Jacksons and bringing in more "ethnically diverse" contractors under H1b visas. The terms of the H1b visas that these "ethnically diverse" contractors work under bind a worker to a specific company for a term of indenture under threat of expulsion from the country. It is, some believe, a violation of the 13th amendment to our constitution.
The Republican Party should know that if she is nominated very few nominally Republican people who work in high tech in California will lift a finger to support her or even bother to vote for her.
Here is one vote for Chuck & if he is not the nominee then I’ll have to leave this portion of the ballot blank. No more RINOs.
Fiorina always gave the impression that she was “entitled”, much like sKerry, Hillary, Kennedy and other Dems who have been in political power far too long act like they are entitled. She bought a $40+ million executive jet at the same time she was laying off HP’s intellectual capital. If I were a Californian, I would not vote for her.
But I have followed Jesse Jackson through the years. Now I have voted for two Dems since I was 18 and I am 50 now.
And I too have thought some of the things that Jesse has said in the past, were things that I believed in.
But I also think he says alot of crazy crap that no way in HELL could I even come close to agreeing with.
Oh and one of the Dems was Scoop Jackson of Wash. Who I don't think anyone can say was liberal.
ED
I want serious candidates with integrity and allegiance to our constitutional rights and civil liberties.
I am a believer in "content of character" over "color of one's skin" (or the gender version: whether or not one has a vagina), in which Jesse Jackson and his racial and feminazi ilk believe in the opposite (and Jesse has made a profitable career in doing so).
Carly wants to associate herself with trash like Jesse Jackson on matters of gender and racial aggitation and manipulation, screw her.
