As an evangelical I would like to congratulate American Catholics, especially those who voted for Brown last Tuesday or otherwise prayed or helped, for shaking off the ghost of Kennedy past.

Keep in mind that we have yet to convert Scott Brown "all the way," but I do think his was a great victory (and I sure worked for it). He seems to be a man with a conscience: a conscience we can keep on challenging.

As for the ghost of Kennedy and the associated vampires: they are still haunting us in the form of the ghastly Pelosi and her twisted sisters. More crucixes, more holy water! And a call to our bishops: exorcisms, please!
