Like the big bad wolf, this ass clown can huff and puff.
Everyone knows he is a punk at this point and every dem is afraid to go down with the sinking obammy.
No reason to be afraid of him. He can’t help your election. His policies will get you un-elected.
Let’s see the Dems hold together. Hah!
Makes a difference. I was 25 when Kennedy was elected President. A high school classmate of mine worked in Ralph Yarborough’s office, just down the way from Kennedy’s office. So knew about “the girls.” Just had no idea he was so totally reckless, though. Was in Austin when Johnson was president. Johnson was much worse. Kennedy had charm. Johnson had none, but his ability to manipulate people was amazing. Even when he was just VP, his ability to dominate a room full of people was something to behold. As for the Camelot things, well, it grew out of the emotion of the assassination. The reality of it cracked the veneer of the most hardened pol/newsman. It became first a comforting myth and then simply political cover. It must have been the same as when Lincoln was killed. One day just that “damned Lincoln.”the next, a political martyr. But every emotion fades. In another twenty years, even MLK will fade away. Might happen faster if “the first black President” proves a cropper.
One thing’s for certain...Ron Smith is not Ellie Light.
There were 3 significant March for Victory in Vietnam events held in April, 1970, October, 1970, and May, 1971. I was at all 3 as well as at a counterprotest of the November, 1969 anti war "2nd Moratorium." Did you participate in any of them by any chance?
FReegards!
I didn’t get to D.C. until 1972.
Left in 74.
