Following up on last week's post about President Obama's weatherization czarina Cathy Zoi and her conflicts of interest, which was featured on John Stossel's show, yesterday Glenn Beck gave it his own special treatment. [Link to video]

So which window maker is getting the replacement window work--Pella? Anderson? Nope: A company called Serious Materials. Never heard of them? Well, Cathy Zoi did: Her husband is one of Serious Materials' top executives.
That's right, the gal in charge of doling out the "stimulus" money is giving it to her husband's company. And the executives of this company just happen to have made large donations to. . . well, I know, it's hard to believe, but--they made big time donations to Obama. I'm just repeating what I heard, I know it doesn't seem right!
Check out Beck and John Stossel on this. It's a great (though infuriating) five minute clip. Look for cameo endorsements of Serious Materials by Obama and Biden!
Unbelievable...
Since the infomercial guy died, and they just hired a new infomercial guy...here’s an idea.
Can someone build a parody video of Obama as the infomercial guy? It will have plenty of pics of him with his chin in the air, and featuring these “special” windows.
“So which window maker is getting the replacement window work—Pella? Anderson? Nope: A company called Serious Materials. Never heard of them? Well, Cathy Zoi did: Her husband is one of Serious Materials’ top executives.”
NO FRICKIN’ WAY!!! Man, there is just no end to this bravo sierra!
WHAT A BUNCH OF SCUMBAGS!
At any other time this be Unfreaking Believeable!! But with OBOZO, Corruption gets raised to an Art Form of Brazen Audacity!! The book shoulda been named “THE AUDACITY OF CORRUPTIO and DECAY!”
It used to that the definition of having a bad day was to be featured on 60 minutes, but those days are gone. Now you are having a bad day if you are featured on the now famous Glen Beck blackboard.
Can they possibly be that clueless? Is this SOP for the Chicago machine and they just don’t realize they don’t have the same cover nationally?
When the Idealist Dreamer who has had no previous awareness of Reality gets to be President and suddenly has Reality in his face, he discards the heart and soul of his Dream and turns to stripping the wealth out of the system for his friends and for himself.
Stealing our money to line theri pockets. This is getting really rediculous folks. This is graft and corruption on a whole new level.
Whatis the quality of the windows are made by Serious Materials? Are they made in the USA like Pella and Anderson? From their web site it looks like it is one of these fly by night “green” companies. My bet is this is a huge scam.
The Obammunist is also spreading around hundreds of millions to states to "train" green guys to install the windows and solar panels.
And more billions for cities and town to install new green electric meters that can measure "solar panel and windmill electric input" at individual residences. Don't have to actually have individual input to have the meter installed.
This is all coming from the hundreds of billions of stimulus that was saved for this election year.

I think I’m gonna barf. What abunch of disgusting dirtbags runour government.
That was great. Thanks for posting it. I hope they continue to expose this kind of corruption no matter who is in power. Exposure is the only way it will stop because it is going to make voters angry when they see it.
Thanks for posting a comment. With luck, this important story will get a bit more play than I’ve seen. Go John Stossel and Glenn Beck!
Thanks for the head’s up. Zoi and her actions have fallen into the MSM rabbit hole, but who knows, maybe it’ll pop up again.

Zoi is the founding chief executive officer of the Alliance for Climate Protection, which was established and chaired by former Vice President Al Gore. Zoi served as the Chief of Staff in the White House Office on Environmental Policy in the Clinton-Gore administration, where she managed the team working on environmental and energy issues. She has also served as a manager at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where she pioneered the Energy Star Program
Zoi has also worked for several energy-focused organizations, serving as the group executive director at the Bayard Group, recently renamed Landis+Gyr Holdings, which is a world leader in energy measurement technologies and systems; as the assistant director general of the New South Wales EPA in Sydney, Australia; and as the founding chief executive officer of the New South Wales Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), a $50 million fund to commercialize greenhouse-friendly technology. Under her leadership, SEDA launched the world's first nationwide green power program and the world's largest solar-powered suburb.
Landis+Gyr - Zoi owns between $250,000 and $500,000 in founders shares and another $15,000 to $50,000 in ordinary shares in Landis+Gyr which makes smart meters. Smart meters are electric meters that report back to the power company on the amount of power being used and allow the power company to limit the amount of power a customer can access. In a March, 9, 2009 interview with U.S. News & World Report, Carol Browner, a senior advisor to Barack Obama for energy and climate change, stated, Eventually, we can get to a system where an electric company will be able to hold back some of the power so that maybe your air conditioner won't operate at its peak, you'll still be able to cool your house, but that'll be a savings to the consumer. As the favored provider of smart meters in North America, the Obama Administration's mandates represent an enormous windfall for Landis+Gyr.
Serious Materials Zois husband, Robin Roy, is Vice President of Projects & Policy for Serious Materials, a company specializing in energy efficient building materials. Zoi and Roy own 120,000 shares in Serious Materials and, as an officer of the company, Roy receives options on an additional 2,500 shares every month and will continue to do so until October 2012.
Smart metering solutions, expected to revolutionize energy management and grid reliability, provide a two-way flow of data between customer meters and utility back-end systems. With this two-way data flow, utilities will be able to offer customers a broad array of new pricing, demand response, and energy automation options that enhance the efficiency and reliability of the electric grid. Customers will benefit from more information, expanded choices, simpler and smarter management of their energy as well as the potential to reduce the environmental impact of their energy use.
The potential benefits are enormous. The U.S. Department of Energy recently estimated that if the U.S. grid were just five percent more efficient, it would be the equivalent of eliminating the fuel and greenhouse gas emissions of 53 million cars. And while energy demand is expected to increase by 30% by 2030, industry experts have suggested that aggressive investment in energy conservation the fifth fuel could keep demand almost flat between now and 2020.
Landis+Gyr has recently signed a number of major contracts with leading North American utilities, including Texas-based Oncor, AEP Texas, Pepco Holdings and the Sacramento Municipal Utility District.

Landis+Gyr has spent over $1.2 billion on more than a dozen acquisitions and investments over the past six years to build an undisputed global leader. At present, Landis+Gyr is the worldwide leader in smart metering services and has the largest installed meter infrastructure on the market
