The Indian head of the UN climate change panel defended his position today even as further errors were identified in the panel's assessment of Himalayan glaciers.
Dr Rajendra Pachauri dismissed calls for him to resign over the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Changes retraction of a prediction that Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035.

Ping of interest. IPCC expects more errors to be found in the 2007 UN report.

Sounds like “global cooling/global warming/climate change” has “stalled”. LOL! Time to put it on “the back burner.” Another hoax put to rest.

This clown and Al Gore are right at the heart of the scandal....
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
Obviously you are totally correct. But we should observe carefully, they are the visible ones. Al Gore nor the Indian run the show. Many in the quiet back rooms that have huge family wealth and run the affairs of earth in secluded ways will get off without a scratch. They just will be pissed off their plans for huge gathering of wealth in their family coffers will not happen so easily this time around.
And until we can see otherwise. It appears that after some eighty plus years, the Russians did the world a favor. I wonder if Putin had any connection to having one of their people arrange for the climategate files to be leaked.
Russia would have stood large in losing a lot of money if these clowns would have had their way through the UN.

Donn’t know if Putin did,...but I think the Soviets pretty much had a dominant ownership of much of the UN Internals....there has been a lot of speculation that he did.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
Ernie. I don't think it is speculation. The Soviet block commies invented the green movement as you are painfully aware, and they had their fingers in every sort of populist and otherwise movement over the years that would somehow contribute to the fall of the free enterprise system championed by the United States, primarily.
But I think since the Soviet block was busted up, more free thinkers have taken hold. I understand the political changes are immense and very difficult to express within short liners, and I surely barely have a grasp on the over all present mode of operation within Russia.
But assuming... I take care... it was a Russian citizen that spilled the original bean can... it was either done on a simply moral basis, quite possible. Or someone was told to do it for the sake of mother Russia primarily.
And for all we know it may have been someone within the world of climatology other then a Russian that suggested the individual spill the beans.
That is all I guess I am suggesting. Perhaps bordering on the level of conjecture. But it would be interesting to find out just who. Then again. Why put them in jeopardy of the goons that would try to go after them.
The individual or individuals could be thought as being world hero. Literally honest well meaning individuals who saw a great criminal act being performed over some thirty years, and felt enough was enough already. Let the Lord God bring a blessing upon them for their action.
