Are there enough persons from the Caucus region who can even PLAY well?
You got it right. As repugnant as this might be, it’s their business. Let these sad, pathetic people alone.
If you are white, but you play like a black guy (eg. Jason Williams), does that disqualify you?
Seems some in the media persist in pushing stereotypes.
Made me glad to see the Houston Rockets beat the NY Nicks in the championship YEARS ago (I was there and yes I spotted Spike Lee and Bob Costas yucking it up before the game began).
After living through the affirmative action crap my whole life, I like the “finger in your eye” aspect of it.
I must admit it would be refreshing to see interviews with pro basketball players who don’t have a rap sheet, aren’t carrying weapons, no paternity cases, and can articulate two sentences consecutively.
Hmmm.. Maybe they will play basketball instead of “thugball”
That’s not a bad idea.
But I’d rather see a league where the sum heighth of the players on the court can’t can’t exceed 30 feet.
So you could have a 6’4 center, Two 6’1 forwards and two guards who are 5’9.
Yeah, because white athletes never get into trouble. /s
The funny thing is the number of FReepers who have taken this seriously, when it’s obviously a hoax, an intentional dig on MLK day.
It would be more like basketball in the 50's. It was a different style then. The set shot was alive and well and the jump shot was the latest craze. People actually thought Bob Cousy was one of the great guards of all time. There was much less pushing and shoving and even the best players had nothing like the pure athletic skills of today's players. But it was still fun and it made you all the more appreciative as you watched the emerging class of great ball players like Dr. J, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and couple of white guys named Jerry West and Larry Bird.
No more racist than all of the black and Latino special interest groups such as the black caucus.
Very clever!
Anyone ever heard of the TV channel BET?
How come that’s OK?
How about White Entertainment Network.
How about the Puerto Rican Day parade in NY.
Can we have a Caucasian Day parade in NY?
If you want to change the “complexion” of sports, just stop the systematic redistribution of wealth. Entertainment reflects the tastes of those spending the money, and thanks to government entitlements and mandates, the “poor” people are the ones with money to spend.
The same principle applies to television programming, shoes, and just about everything else that can be bought.
Solutions can be so simple.
I can’t stop laughing at that.
What makes the whites think the blacks want to play basketball with them. White guys can’t jump. This is racist.
Wisdom of youth!!!
