> Isn't it great being a conservative?! :-) Why? Because they are politicians, ergo human. I am beholden more to Conservative values and principles than I am to ANY Conservative politician. Ronald Reagan, despite how pedestal-like I and most other Conservatives hold him, was far from perfect in his enforcement of immigration laws. Plyler v. Doe was ruled upon by the SCOTUS in 1982, during Reagan's administration, and opened the door for children of illegal alien to be allowed to attend public school in the US. It didn't stop there, did it? Reagan with Congress’ help could have fought that, but did not. Live and learn, right? Sarah, in the short term, is doing the honorable thing keeping a promise to her former running mate. It also serves the short-term purpose of ensuring that McCain does NOT act like a RINO. I hate it too, but keeping 41 Republican votes as Obama steps on the accelerator is VITAL. Obama isn't done yet trying to destroy this nation, people! Politics is an unwieldy beast, sometimes with strange bedfellows to arrive at important political objectives. Although it didn't work as planned thanks to the Obots at the DNC Convention, Rush's Operation Chaos, and his endorsement of Hillary, is an example that comes to mind ...

NO POLITICIAN DESERVES TO BE PUT ON A PEDESTAL!
Sorry, I don't do statues... I just vote for cadidates... that's all... LOL...
And, I did exactly that, voted for McCain and Palin... and have no problems with my vote, to this very day.
