Sen. John McCain (R) has known from an early stage that he could face a tough primary in his bid for re-election this year, and acted on it. He already launched radio ads touting his effort to block President Obama's "extreme left wing crusade." And just this week, Sen.-elect Scott Brown (R) recorded robocalls that went out to voters in Arizona.
Now, a Rasmussen poll (502 LVs, 1/20, MoE +/- 4.5%) shows the Maverick just over 50 percent in a potential matchup against former Rep. JD Hayworth -- not the best position for an incumbent to be, but an improvement over the dead heat Rasmussen found in November.
Primary Election Matchup
McCain 53 (+8 vs. last poll, 11/18)
Hayworth 31 (-12)
Simcox 4 (unch)
Und 8 (+1)

not true...
Just heard news that JD Haworth has closed his radio show and will be next heard from in the public area. So, maybe—
This is the link http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/243 5221/posts Looks like Haworth is in the race!
Sometimes it's hard to see the forest for the trees.
You might want to consider the messenger of this thread.
That would be rabscuttle, a poster that has continually without fail for at least two years posted hate threads about McCain. Now he has added Sarah Palin and getting the exact response he wants. people here bashing not only McCain but Sarah Palin as well.
rabscuttle and his buddies as far as I know have never posted one thread against "The One". Never........
The emphasis is mine. I'll add that I'm getting sick of the Scott Brown bashing and the Sarah Palin bashing.
I have been wondering for a while exactly who's side the bashers are on? They devote all their postings to bashing the wrong side of the aisle. Very odd.
Here today gone tomorrow—thread has been pulled. ??????
Time to change my tag line.
Repeating
Holy smokes! JD is telling us this is his last hour on the air!
He is saying he will be heard from again in the public arena.
“I think I might know - loyalty - but still I wish shed honor her supporters rather than McCain.”
I’d prefer loyalty to conservative principle rather than a political payback.
A stupid bimbo who never questions anything is calling an independent thinking Freeper a twit.
LOL!
McCain is a pig indeed!
A stupid bimbo who never questions anything is calling an independent thinking Freeper a twit.
Your above post like your blind defense of Huckabee post-after-post makes no sense.
And back to my original point your lecturing Sarah supporters about objectivity given your long track record of defending Huckabee makes you a hypocritical boob.
Oh NO! A Huck-a-twit talking about conservatism? LOL Huckabee, Romney and McCain - three RINO stooges, see how they run, they all run after...
Rabs, Where are the McCain Truth File links? With JD in, it’s time to start spreading the truth far and wide.
Sarah is putting loyalty over principle and country. She does not deserve loyalty. But the traitor is Chris Simcox.
Sarah had to do this. No one outside of Alaska would know who she was if not for McCain.
McCain may lose, which would be interesting, but Sarah isn’t going to repay McCain with betrayal.
That’s not what she would do or someone that I would ever vote for. Like John or not, he helped her in a way that is foundational to her success and for our country.
