I remember well during 2007 getting tons of pushback every time I would criticize Ron Paul for his loopy statements on foreign policy or his years of playing footsie with white supremacists while marketing his newsletter. Paul makes good sense often on economics and the intrusiveness of government, but he’s essentially a conspiracy theorist whose presence in Congress is much more problematic than beneficial for conservatives and the GOP, with whom he’s nominally associated. Basically, if you think of Paul as our Dennis Kucinich, then it makes it much easier to understand the following hysterical rant captured at a January 15th appearance in Atlanta at the Campaign for Liberty conference and posted at Weasel Zippers, who provides the transcript:

I do know that I would not want Ron Paul to be a Secretary of State.
Whether his thoughts on the CIA are valid, remain to be seen. i have my doubts, but this is the first I have Paul go down this path.
But, since Paul thinks 9/11 was either our own doing, or that we got what we had coming for supporting Israel, I can see his distaste for the CIA.
I just can't let that stand w/o adding that it was primarily Bill Clinton who was responsible for the defanging of the CIA.

Well, why not go back to Jimmy Carter and/or Gerald Ford and review what actions they took to defang the CIA. And, then ask yourself, why these two (other) presidents did what they did?
Ron Paul is a genuine psychopath. One day, during the 2008 GOP primaries, I was driving & channel-surfing on my car radio. I stopped at some random station, heard this man (whose voice I didn’t recongize) screaming & ranting like a raving lunatic. I said to myself, “Who is this psycho?” When he finished his demented screaming, the announcer came on and said, “That was GOP candidate Ron Paul answering the moderator’s question” (during 1 of the primary debates).
Since you already seem to know the answer, why not elaborate?

You also have to love how they can take over ANY event (usually by force) and then claim some kind of “mandate” for their HERO!
If by some miracle of fate. this MORON had actually won the GOP primary, who do you think his running mate might have been? If you guessed the most LIBERAL congressman in the history of the U.S., (Dennis the Menace) you would be correct! But then that would probably get “Dr. Paul” more votes from those who support him. Most of “Dr. Paul’s” support doesn’t come from the right. It comes from the left.
So, saying that, my original question still stands. Why do we here at FR allow this lil’ rabid minority of LIBERAL fringe supporter’s to bother us? PFFT!

Is it possible for you, for example, to look up executive order #11905 and see which president's name is attached to it - can you do that - or is this simply too much to ask.(?)
