UCF Champion Compares Canadian Health Care to That of The Third World
Enterprise Record Post Scripts ^ | 1/21/10 | OneVike

Posted on 01/21/2010 11:00:45 AM PST by Tom Hawks

Thinking he might need surgery to fix a bad case of diverticulitis, Brock Lesnar postponed a fight to defend his Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight title. If you know who Lesnar is you have one of two opinion of him probably. You either think he is an egotistical maniac, and you wish someone would come along and shut him up, or you thought he was maybe the greatest all around fighter to ever grace the sport of ultimate fighting. Well, Brock was not just unable to train for the defense of his title he was considering the reality that he may have to retire at the young age of 32.

A former champion the WWE, Lesnar used the same tactics he used as a wrestler to help draw fans to the UFC. They say that Lesnar is the best thing that ever happened to the UFC, but after his medical problems, they were worried the 1.6 million pay per views they gained due to his attraction was in jeopardy. Well they can now rest assured that their money maker will return to the ring, because Lesnar has had a miraculous recovery. However, up until just this past Tuesday it was not so. You may be asking yourself, since when has Post Scripts cared about ultimate fighters and their future ability to beat each other up? Well the reason this is news is not because he is a fighter, but because of what happened after he ended up in a Canadian hospital.

See, Lesnar was beginning to suffer from depression due to the news he may have to retire from a new career he thought was going to allow him to fight maybe one or two times a year while spending the rest of the year

This is the only article about Lesnar's recovery and return that talks about his disdain for the Canadian Healthcare system.

All, and I mean every other article on the web only talks about his fighting, his illness, and his recovery. I only found one article that even mentioned the quote from him about the Canadian system being on par with the third world.

This is a major scoop that the MSM would not touch with a ten foot pole, buy but OneVike has nailed it.

Awesome job OV.

I hear this guy being criticized for antics in the octagon, but he seems smart enough.

Canadians are the biggest critics of “Turd World” socialist medical care...

but they never, ever have their voices heard in the democrat controlled US media.

He apologized for his antics, admitting that he fell back to his WWE/entertainer days.

I’d like to see him and Dingy Reid square off.

ever grace the sport of ultimate fighting.

Is "grace" really the right word to use in this matter? Like, "the greatest ever to grace the demolition derby"?

Yeah, he does act unsportsmanlike at times which is unfortunate....I like guys like Randy Coture and Chuck Lidell...great fighters but also great sportsmen (humble, no trash-talking, etc).

I watched Lesnar point to guy’s face at the end of a fight (he was pretty banged up cause Lesnar pretty much pounded him) and laughed at him....I really lost alot of respect for him when I saw that.

You are right, though...Lesnar does seem pretty smart.

It did seem a bit hyperbole didn’t it? I don’t know, but I wonder if OV even watches these fights. I know he is a preacher so who knows, he may have been looking to get the fans of this sport fired up....

He was pointing at the smashed in face of Frank Mir, who had done his own great amount of trash talk prior.(UFC 100)

Yeah I saw that also...the fight I was referring to was another guy though....

Good point.

Makida is good also.....I’d love to see him fight Silva, but they are friends and said they wouldn’t fight each other....

If Fedor ever leaves Strikefarce, I hope he’ll fight Brock.

How do you do that, do you have an account on their sites? I am sure OV would love the exposure.

I don’t know, grapplers always have the edge in these fights because they end up wrapping their opponent up in such a way they can then pound the crap out of them.

Lesnar was a College National Champion before he went in to pro-wrestling, the guy is real good.

I would bet that when he is fully recovered he will continue to go through the UFC like a tornado leaving no doubt about his superior ability to destroy all in his path.

Thing about Lesnar is that he is naturally very fast for his weight. There are a lot of good and some great wrestlers in UFC, even more great ground fighters (like big Nog for example) but few if any (except Fedor) have his speed. For example Carwin is known as a striker but he was a division 2 college wrestling champ I think. Couture was an alternate for Olympics, Mark Coleman took 7th place at the Olympics.

I think Lesnar vs Noguera or Lesnar vs Carwin would be fun to see. Nog because he is so tough and dangerous off his back, Carwin because every shot he throws can send anyone into la la land and he is fast on his feet and has good wrestling to keep it there.

I agree that any of those would be a great fight to watch. But after watching Lesnar, I just cannot think of anyone as crazy as he is when they get in the ring. He is big, smart, and crazy. Add to that his ability to wrap you up and that makes for a very dangerous combination.

That I am sure comes from his wrestling days, but like the wrestling world, he is putting guys on notice that he is king.
