Kindly don’t lump all NY voters together. There are 62 counties in NYS, but only a few downstate counties have a say in what happens statewide. All the “leaders” are from NY City. It is as corrupt as Chicago. We Upstaters are voiceless. That’s why I refer to us as Outer Neeorkistan. There has been no leader from upstate since the early 70s. sd

That is not correct. Let me remind you of the most recent examples of a democrat being elected in NY-23 and Kirsten Gillibrand's Congressional district going democrat (with her election to Congress) before her ascension to the Senate. Pull up a red/blue map of New York state and you may be surprised at the number of democrat strongholds in upstate NY.
