More bias in US against Muslims than other faiths (Mega-Barf!)

NEW YORK (AP) - Americans are more than twice as likely to express prejudice against Muslims than they are against Christians, Jews or Buddhists, a new survey found. Nearly two-thirds of Americans say they have little or no knowledge of Islam. Still, a majority dislike the faith.

The analysis, for release Thursday, is from the Gallup World Religion Survey and is part of a project on finding ways to increase understanding between Americans and Muslims.

President Barack Obama and his administration want to improve America's image in the Muslim world. Many analysts who study extremism also say that U.S. Muslims who feel alienated from broader society resist integrating, potentially becoming more vulnerable to radical ideas.

Only twice as much, after the attacks against us in the name of that religion? I'd give up to 10x as much as being acceptable based on backlash alone. I think this low number shows how tolerant (read: IGNORANT) most of America is to the religion of “peace”.

It appears from the way quotation marks are used in the article that the writer equates having an “unfavorable view” of islam with prejudice against islam.

This type of news article is nothing but manipulative propaganda.

It is an attempt by the MSM to bully Americans from forming their own opinions on islam if those opinions are unfavorable to islam.

I wonder if that whole murdering innocent people thing has anything to do with many people's opinions about Islam.

Why is it you never hear about Christians, Jews or Buddhists strapping bombs under their cloths and trying to blow up the largest number of people possible?

Gee that’s funny, the Pew survey said the opposite.

IF this survey can be taken for true, most Americans remember those planes slamming into the WTC, the Pentagon, and that Pennsylvania field, all in the name of “Allah”.

Like one t-shirt says, “Everything I wanted to know about Islam, I learned on 9/11”.

Islam is a faith?

Since when?

It is a death cult, nothing more.

Don’t forget the Muslim in the Army with some cushy affirmative action psychologist gig who murdered dozens of people yelling allah akbar. I loathe the liberal news media. They are so evil.

Islam is the mortal enemy of western civilization, and has been for nearly fourteen centuries. No muslim will ever be my countryman. I’ll never trust one.

I’d love to see a similar survey done only of those who have lived a year or more in a Muslim country.

Then they couldn’t blame negative views on “ignorance”. They’d have to blame it on “personal experience” instead. Or racism. Racism is always good to explain away those who don’t share liberals’ suicidal tendencies.

Wouldn’t “dislike” or “distrust” be more accurate words?

I can see asking someone which religions they like, or dislike most, but I can’t see asking them which one do they have the most “bigotry” against.

And why not?

I’m not familiar with any fellow Bhuddists who want to kill Americans in the name of Buddha, nor use the freedoms of a basically Christian country to impose Buddhist law throughout the country.

Strangely, I suppose, the response of Americans in return has been a fairly tolerant one towards Buddhists.

Can you imagine if some MSM reporter submitted a draft article in which any negative opinion of Christianity was treated as “prejudice”?

The reporter would be frogmarched in front of the newsroom, have his pocket protector ripped from his shirt, have his pencils broken over an editor’s knee and be barred for 6 months from visiting his favorite gay bathhouse.

If I told you “he went Buddhist” you would not know what that meant.
If I tell you “he went muslim” you know exactly what I meant. He turned into a murderer and a terrorist.

“Gee, I wonder why?”

A simple question, but nonetheless devastating.
