Dude, I think this officially makes her a RINO.
Welcome to the club, Sarahcuda!
"Sarah Palin, McCains former running mate and perhaps the most powerful brand in Republican politics, will stump for McCain in Arizona on March 26 and 27, a Palin adviser told CNN. The presence of Palin and the considerable crowds and media attention she will draw might give pause to J.D. Hayworth, the former Republican congressman and radio host who opposes McCains position on illegal immigration and is mulling a Senate run of his own.
The former Alaska governor will also hit the campaign trail in the coming month for two conservative heroes Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann."
I didnt think McCain would swallow his pride and ask her, but oh well. Maybe hes taking that potential challenge from J.D. Hayworth more seriously than we thought. I posed this question back in November, when I first wrote about this scenario, so lets pose it again: Does this give Maverick political cover to vote a little more centrist-y this year than he otherwise might have given his vulnerability in a primary? Palins endorsement is the gold standard among the base; if she says vote McCain, it might not be enough to get grassroots righties to actually vote McCain but it might be enough to get them not to vote Hayworth, which is all Maverick needs. In fact, it might convince Hayworth or any other more right-wing candidate not to challenge McCain at all.
Its obvious what he gets out of this. What does she get out of it? Two things, I think: (a) The moral high ground, rushing to his aid after Steve Schmidt et al. have spent months tearing her down, and (b) an inroad into the media narrative that shes itching to lead some sort of wingnut apocalypse or whatever thatll devour all moderate Republicans in its path. Truth be told, if she was inclined that way, thered be no bolder statement she could make than by taking on her former running mate, particularly by backing some sort of independent tea-party candidate. Instead shes being a good soldier, just like she was a good soldier in staying out of the Massachusetts race until it was over, when she called to congratulate Brown. Take this as further proof that she meant what she said to Rush (and to Beck) about working within the party, not outside of it even if it is a bit odd that Maverick somehow doesnt qualify as one of those Republicans whod best be replaced by a more conservative party member.
I always liked J.D. but I was really disappointed several years ago when he was being interviewed by (can’t think of his name-the one who called the womens basketball players hoes) The guy was making fun of President Bush and J.D. laughed like he agreed.
Sarah has always said she had the highest regard and respect for John McCain. Nice to see she means what she says.
No more attention for you Scott Brown.
She'll smile gamely, look lovely and cut the cake.
That was Don Imus.
Like I’ve said on every post about this subject. Some are acting so childish about this. Its either she toe the line their way, or its the highway. Too bad that some haven’t learned the meaning of loyalty.
Pass the popcorn. I have no problem with her doing what she thinks is right. I can’t vote in AZ anyway, and like it or not, she’s doing what she thinks is right of her.
Some say next. Well, what happens when we run out of puritans to vote for? What happens when we can’t find the 100% perfect candidate? Geesh!
I agree. It seems as though the panic button was hit. I guess campaigning with Bachmann isn’t good enough. I do wonder who their candidate is, though.
She respects McCain for his service to the country. She can disagree on issues. The Dems are the enemy . Rally around a specific set of ideas and quit the circular firing squad. Call Dems names not Reps. Dems are sleazy, lying enemies of the USA . Pelosi needs to be knocked out of the Speakership. If Brown had lost 5% of the vote because of this purity nonsense ,the Mass senate would be in the hands of the Dems and you would have a new health care system. Fight our battles out respectfully in primaries and over ideas not personalities. I want to see the Dem control of the government eviscerated and replaced by a Rep government that follows the constitution , lets the states worry about issues like abortion and gay marriage and get our fiscal house in order and defend our borders and jobs.
Ha!

OK Go - This Too Shall Pass
McLames "maverick" style really means "I'll turn on you conservatives in a heartbeat". Anyone watching knows this.
In politics there is guilt by association, we may not all agree with that concept, but it exists. When a person stumps for a rino... well, you get what I mean.
It's to bad, Sarah seemed to have such political savy to.
LOL Nice act going on there!!!
Anyone who endorses a proven super RINO like a McCain has the tendency to be one. I think that the voters of this country are doomed again to have to make a choice between a pseudo-conservative and a blatant leftwinger.
One thing is for sure; I shall NEVER vote for McCain twice.
I respectfully disagree.
I believe that Mrs. Palen is being led astray by political advisors, and the Washingtonion pundit machine.
I believe this is a very bad choice for her to make.
Have a nice day.
