I married well, but holy moly.
Lol, no, I made Obama go tubing down the China Wall!! heh
Thanks devolve.
Have to get ready for my club meeting.
Feel free to post it if you like.
Thank you fanfan!
...and then there are those FReepers who would rubber stamp anything and everything Sarah Palin adopted as a policy position even if that position was written and enunciated in Mandarin Chinese without anybody understanding it.
There is a lot to like about Sarah Palin, and I like her however that does not translate into automatic support, nor should it for any thinking conservative.
What makes Coakley any different from any other dysfunctional or psychopathic democrat???
I wish SP would stay out of AZ primary and I think prolonged wars of attrition 5000 miles away are not good policy but my #1 right now and since 2008 for 2012 is SP.
so not all of at FR believe we have to be in lock step
Well, that's good that you don't think we all have to be in lock step, but there is a significant number who do think that, so much so, that they'll label anyone else who thinks differently on that one, as a troll and/or a liberal plant of some sort... LOL...
Now, with Sarah Palin, I understand what she's doing in that it was John McCain that did bring Sarah Palin to national attention and gave her a platform to talk from in the first place. If it had not been for that, Sarah Palin would have been known in Alaska as she always had been and hardly anywhere else.
For Sarah Palin to not campaign for John McCain would make her seem petty and seem (to some anyway) vindictive and "really going rogue" to the extreme, more so than is needed for political cooperation.
Now, if someone asked me to campaign for John McCain, I wouldn't be doing it... not at all. But, then again, John McCain didn't pick me for his running mate, either... :-)
I think Sarah Palin is going to help John McCain win in his state and then work with John McCain on other conservative issues, whenever they find themselves in the same ballpark on those issues.
It's so stupid to hear statements like I've seen some others post -- like, "Sarah Palin -- you're on probation now!"... LOL...
There is a lot to like about Sarah Palin, and I like her however that does not translate into automatic support, nor should it for any thinking conservative.
Well, I don't support her in everything either, as I said in another post -- in that I personally would not be campaigning for John McCain right now -- but -- I don't have a problem with Sarah Palin campaigning for John McCain right now. That's fine if she wants to do that, but if Sarah Palin comes over and asks me to join her and campaign for John McCain, no..., I won't be doing it... :-)
But, if Sarah Palin later asks me to support her in an office (that she runs for, on behalf of Republicans), and if I get a vote in it (i.e., it's something that I can vote in) -- yes, then I'll support her...
So, I don't support anything and everything that she does, but I'll support her in some public office if she wants to run for it.
Just a couple of days ago, when FRs were pumping up enthusiasm for Brown and donating to him, a poster with an early member date came on and starting mocking people, and calling him a RINO. What better use for a troll than to try to discourage donations just before a wildly important election?
You’re welcome potlatch.
It’s not often I find a post as enjoyable as that one!
(Still laughing)
Thank you!
You are welcome. You need to find the actual youtube, it’s hilarious. I made the slideshow from it.
There is a thread with that title.
Hey, all you Liberal Democrat, we have reserved the seat of honor... for ya!
I’ve made my suspicions known to those who can find out for sure. And when I think I’m conversing with on the boards I try to corner with some questions. What is curious is when they don’t reply.
The main reason that pursuing the birth certificate issue hasn't really gone anywhere is because of attitudes like yours.
I'll tell you the basic reason why the birth certificate issue is going nowhere and I identified it right after the election (although I knew about it before the election, but I thought political pressure would make a difference, but it didn't).
The basic reason is that there is no legal requirement for a candidate to show his birth certificate -- that's it... there's no legal requirement...
NOW.., right after the election I said that what was needed was that we need several states to put forth a law (in the respective states) that makes it a requirement for a candidate to show his birth certificate or else he cannot be on the ballot in that state.
That's the rational and reasonable solution to the problem of many asking to have the birth certificate shown, since there is no legal requirement that any candidate show his birth certificate.
And I've worked for that very solution in my state, thus far (and I've spoken about that on many occasions before, too).
It has absolutely nothing to do with an "attitude" and it has all to do with there being no legal requirement that a candidate show his birth certificate... and that's all there is to it.
... yet people like you ridicule that question simply for being asked.
It was "asked" before the election, just like I asked too... and that was never the problem with me -- i.e. the "asking for it"... As I said, I did the asking too.
But, the election is over, there is no legal requirement that a candidate show it -- so now the solution is to get a state law requiring it. That's the rational solution -- so I say, "Get with the solution that's going to work!"
However, since even Republicans are afraid even to ask the question, and so-called conservatives increase that fear by ridiculing the question just for being asked, our government officials who are either afraid to open that can of worms or don't want to because of their left-wing bias (to include our judiciary) feel much more comfortable dismissing the issue out-of-hand. They feel no pressure to deal with the issue responsibly.
Ask all you want and you'll still get nowhere... LOL...
Get a state law passed and you'll get something done.
As an example, regardless of whether you believe the birth certificate issue has merit, it should bother you that judges have dismissed such lawsuits on the basis of lack of standing. A presidential candidate may not be eligible for office and a citizen has no standing to demand he prove his eligibility? That is a breakdown of representative government, and should bother everyone.
It's not a breakdown in representative government if there is no law requiring a candidate to show his birth certificate -- and there isn't.
I don't expect any judges to say that a particular candidate has to show his birth certificate, and make up a requirement, on the spot, when no other candidate has ever been required to show it.
What I expect is that the citizens pass a law, in various states, requiring it -- then it will be shown by all candidates. Then you'll get judges that will rule that way.
Thanks for clearing that up RonDog!
