Irony hit the jackpot as Cindy McCain, wife of Senator John McCain, posed for the NOH8 campaign, reports the Advocate.
As the mother to vocal marriage equality advocate, Meghan McCain, we are surprised at such unanticipated support. Is this the Cindy we all knew to be that staunch republican with a narrow outlook on equality? On a positive aspect, it could be true that not all republicans are anti-gay marriage.
According the NOH8's website, Cindy McCain wanted to participate in the campaign to show people that party doesn't matter and that marriage equality isn't a Republican issue any more than it is a Democratic issue.

Nice move Sarah. What is she thinking?
Sarah Palin will have regrets. That’s unfortunate, but it’s her life to live.
Perhaps old McCain should hop on his horse and ride off in to the political sunset now and save us all some time and aggravation.
Going rogue. Yeah, right.
T0 liberals it is.
Levi Johnson.
it is what it is...
we have to keep to our basics as conservatives.....constitutional law and financial frugalness....
we'd like the "social" issues to go away but they never will and they will only divide us....
as I said..it is what it is.....

To bad that Cindy didn’t marry a woman instead of John!
There is no point in bashing Sarah Palin for being respectful to John McCain. He made her famous and she will not denounce him. Even if you don’t understand that kind of thinking, that is the way Sarah Palin thinks.
Yikes. Step away Sarah, step away.
I’ve been reading “Game Change”. They painted a pretty gruesome picture about McCain and his wife. Apparently, they don’t get along and they don’t get along VERY publicly.
I wonder if there really was any truth to that National Enquirer story about Cindy having an affair during the campaign and shortly after the election. I’m not terribly surprised that Meghan gets her political philosophy from her mother.
I don't think her backing of this moron destroys her credibility...it reinforces her loyalty coefficient....sometimes you have to dance with who brung ya.
Cindy needs to remember Sodom and Gomorrah.
I hope regardless of Palin’s support, McCain is replaced by a true conservative.
Haven’t you dishonored your son enough, Cindy?
Shame on Cindy! In one aspect, she isn’t running for office, however, this throws a monkey wrench in John’s campaign. AS much as I respect Sarah’s decision to campaign for him, I would think she might reconsider due to this latest revelation. If she doesn’t, I won’t hold it against her, nor would this change my support of her, but, she will take hits on her conservatism viewpoints.
