Alan Keyes

I can't help but look at Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts in the context of the larger strategy clearly being implemented by the RINO (Republican-In-Name-Only) clique that currently controls the GOP. Sean Hannity is the clique's bellwether media tool. It was no coincidence that he featured Mitt Romney on his program last night to revel in the Scott Brown victory. Scott Brown in Massachusetts is the advance guard for Mitt Romney in the White House (or vice-versa). He becomes the poster child for the RINO clique's archetypal GOP candidate who:

As long as the RINO clique can gull the conservative base of the GOP into identifying with and celebrating the success of such candidates, principled conservatives will never (or very rarely) win elections; conservative policies will never be implemented; and the tragic decline of America's liberty will continue to its inevitably ruinous conclusion.

And...do you know what I might do if I were a socialist looking to inject socialsim into law in a center right constitutional republic?

I would throw a leftist politician out there, surround him with a bunch of radical leftists, have them craft the worst possible socialized medicine bill in the dark of night (death panels and all), and then I would help lead a revolt against the bill and the leftists who created it. Then, when the opposition was reaching a boiling point, I would introduce a "conservative" candidate who could ride the wave of opposition into office and have him, with the help of the "moderate" politicians (say a gang of 14, or so), create a "sensible" socialized medicine bill (because the need is great and the bill's passing is inevitable and we might as well get as much "conservative" principle written into it...something a little more fiscally responsible).

God, in order to accomplish His sovereign plan, worked through Babylonian kings and pagan nations throughout history. Who God works through says less about the person/entity He works through and it says more about Himself.

For the record, I note that you have consistently ignored the first half of Dr. Keyes' headline in your personal attacks on him.

3 Cheers for Obama’s defeat

Because Keyes turned around and lied about Brown. Through omission.

Funny, they could have elected a real socialist, but didn't. From a deep blue state where doing such should have been easy.

Try again.

Hey, it’s not his job to defend pro-abortion socialists, or to call attention to the false conservative baubles hanging around his neck. That’s apparently your job.

So in other words, it's OK for him to lie.

Gotcha.

Nope...It would have nowhere near the impact. Plus, this plan incorporates your keen sense of incrementalism. A center right country won't accept the plans of an outright socialist as Obama and company are learning. It has to be much more subtle.

And...Brown’s opponent was an arrogant shill. Her political ineptitude was astounding. Democrat blinding arrogance is the only explanation for anyone thinking that the lacking in personality candidate was going to win Kennedy’s seat in this political climate. She is worse than McCain (and that is saying something). She was tailor-fitted to lose.

No, those are your words.

By the false standard you’re laying out, you condemn yourself, since in your zeal to spin for a pro-abort liberal you’re sure not laying out the truth about who Scott Brown really is. At all.

And...

I think that you have to reread Keyes' first line for some context:

I can't help but look at Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts in the context of the larger strategy clearly being implemented by the RINO (Republican-In-Name-Only) clique that currently controls the GOP.

No, those are your words.

No, they are George Orwell's, that omission is the most powerful form of lie. And your guy is proving it here.

What are you omitting, dirtboy? Are you giving your fellow FReepers a clear view of the reality of Scott Brown?

I didn't make a claim about Brown in an article and then omitted details that contradict that claim.

But go ahead, keep saying that lying about Brown is OK. I fully realize that Brown will be an annoying RINO at times. But he killed off the Obama agenda with his win, does have some pro-life traits and has campaigned on a limited government agenda.

Your repeated claim that not spinning like you on behalf of your dear pro-abort socialist Republican is “lying,” is laughable.

Yeah, right. I guess he doesn't advocate killing everyone. /s

and has campaigned on a limited government agenda.

While touting his claim that given the opportunity he can implement "better" socialism.

Maybe it is, but Scott Brown's record on the issue of "green energy",carbon emissions and credits has him talking out of both sides of his mouth: Per The Boston Globe: In 2008, he voted with the Legislature for Massachusetts to join the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, a pact among Northeastern states requiring power plants to reduce emissions or to buy credits from cleaner industries [regional cap and trade]. "Reducing carbon dioxide emission in Massachusetts has long been a priority of mine,'' Brown said in a news release at the time. "Passing this legislation is an important step ... towards improving our environment.''

http://blogs.sciencemag.org/scienceinsider/2010/01/scott-brownclim.html

The Martha Coakley team noted Brown's flip-flop: Scott Brown is wrong to have flip-flopped on this issue,” said Corey Welford, spokesman for Martha Coakley. “In 2008, Scott Brown voted in favor of a regional climate change agreement as a way to create green technology jobs and protect our environment. Now he has reversed course to support the failed environmental and economic policies of George Bush and Dick Cheney. We just hope that he will change his mind once again to join business leaders and environmental leaders who know that protecting our environment and creating jobs can go hand in hand."

What are Brown's core principles, Dirtboy?

Hardly. Keyes made a claim about Brown and then omitted contradictory details, such as Brown’s opposition to amnesty. But what the hey, such behavior fits in with other things Keyes has done, such as associating with the grifter Simcox. I remember that fence dustup - I defended Keyes and Simcox, asked that they be given a chance to produce a valid audit, and then they never did. Sure changed my view of both of them.

He has some RINO traits and some conservative traits.

All of which are an improvement over Coakley.

Now, once again, tell me how many elections Keyes has won, how many times he has turned back the liberal agenda, and get back to me.
