Rescue workers scouring the wreckage of the devastated Haitian capital are still pulling people alive from the rubble, more than a week after quake struck.

A young woman was extracted from a ruined supermarket by the combined efforts of teams from Turkey, France and Haiti.

One rescue worker spoke of the thrill of finding someone alive after all this time:

Makes one wonder how many thousands were not killed by the earthquake but only trapped, and how many thousands of those will die just because they could not be reached in time, including some Americans that are still missing. Its a very sad thought.

The vision of 200,000 people dead is something hard to fathom. That is around 3 full Super Bowls. Unbelievable.

There are 19 American’s trapped in a collapsed motel. How they know the number 19 I’m not sure. From what I’ve heard so far, they haven’t even tried to rescue them. Something about not having any heavy equipment to move some of those huge slabs. You think they would at least try something, anything and maybe they already have, I don’t know.

Among the rubble, you will see the cubans sneaking around. Watch them. Watch them. The commies are going to start something up.

Parents and family have contacted those who need to know..also with locations of rooms...access to roads that are passable is a huge issue....there are only four major roads in Haiti.

We need to remember that the people working there are doing all they can against unsumountable problems. Where we might grab our own shovels etc. to dig..there are no tools to do this.

From those I’ve been in contact with, this is going as fast and as good as can be expected and they are grateful for what is being done.

Thank you for the info. We need to keep praying for those still trapped and for those waiting to hear :( truly a horrible situations. Yet we are seeing miracles pulled from the ruble everyday. Thank you Jesus!!!!
