Many believe that the level of civility in today’s political discourse has been on a slow and steady decline, perhaps as a result of the increased volume of partisan media on cable news. So it was a welcome site when Keith Olbermann announced plans to apologize for last night’s comments toward Republican Senatorial candidate Scott Brown, who he called “irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against woman and against politicians with whom he disagrees…” But not all apologies are really apologies, as you can see by the video below.

Given Olbermann’s behavior so far, the only way he could ramp up the attacks would be to strap on a bomb vest and give Brown a hug.

Last night Oblermann said Coakley never said the Taliban weren’t in Afghanistan, yet I saw a clip of her saying that exactly. He is just another liar. Luckily hardly anyone watches him so he just isn’t relevant.
Might have changed the views of his two hundred or so viewers nationwide. Who sits around in the evening watching KO on a regular basis?
He also compared Scott Brown’s pick-up imagery to the blatantly racist campaigns of the civil rights era and said Massachusettes voters were just racist Obama haters. You could tell Howard Fineman thought he was nuts.
To Keith: While I understand your mental handicap may make it impossible to understand the irony of my next statement, I’m going to give it to you anyways.

I am going to send an email to MSNBC demanding that Olbermann be removed, but that will only encourage them to give that non-functional dick a raise.
I love how Republicans, like Sarah Palin and Scott Brown,are supposed to be responsible for any inappropriate comments shouted by any nut who happens to be in a crowd they are speaking to, but Democrats are not responsible for the persistent anti-American, anti-Semitic, racist rantings of their pastors and spiritual mentors of 20 years.

Don’t they realize that their unhinged yapping shows them in really poor light, even with those who have similar ideological leanings. It only hurts their cause and removes any shred of credibility they have.

that guy is a clown. Ever see him go off on someone? His head tilts, his body twitches, his mouth goes funny and his eyes get funny too. It’s like he’s talking to himself and thinking how good he is and how funny he is. He is a weird duck. Seems to hate eveything around him. Wonder what his problem is. Either way...it’s not our problem...just his.

Personally I flipped between MSNBC and FOX last night. Went to MSNBC during breaks at FOX to get a chuckle. It did make me laugh out loud the way that whole crew was reacting last night....but especially KO once Brown’s win was announced....
