Brown is Pro-life in a sense that he is going to stuff this healthcare bill with his 41st vote.

Great article. This is the money quote:
Most have had enough of pie-in-the-sky talk of massive new health-care entitlements, cap-and-trade taxes and regulation, more stimulus, and more takeovers of private enterprise. The country is broke and the people want to pay off, not incur more, crushing debt. What got us into the mess was too much borrowing, skyrocketing debt, and reckless spending not too many balanced budgets and too much lean government.

Brown's win is a HUGE prize for conservatism Or not. (See "Schwarzenegger, Arnold").
This is an expedient and great victory for the fight against socialism. I agree 100%. It's the best outcome. I agree 100%. But if people start referring to Brown as a "conservative", you - and everyone else here - will fall into a brilliant trap that allows the media to redefine a conservative as someone who is not necessarily pro-life, thus dividing conservatives amongst themselves.
How can you guys and gals not see this?

That is a great analysis of Clinton and the Bamster. I will be watching Zero with interest to see how he reacts to this slap down. For liberals, this is Kasserine Pass. I am curious as to whether Obama learns from it and starts rebuilding his plans, or if he rushes forward, continuing to squander political capital. He may melt down or he may evaluate the board and start making smart moves. The next three months will tell much about his inner character, which has been as elusive as his birth certificate.

In the Sun Tsu said that you use an attack to exploit a victory, never in an attempt to save a defeat. He also said that the prerequisite for victory in the attack was unity and clarity of purpose, not the size of the forces at your disposal.
Fortunately for us Obama spent his time reading Rules for Radicals and not the Art of War. Obama will now launch an all out political offensive for Obamacare with a divided democrat party in order to stave off defeat in 2010. And in doing so will transform a defeat into a disaster.

In post 48 i reference Sun Tsu. Another of his great quotes is that there is some ground that should not be contested, and some battles that should not be fought. What Obama should do is sidestep by scrapping the current bill. Then spend the next four months negotiating, on C-Span, a new bill that can be passed easily with token GOP support. He can then declare victory before the 2010 elections, and divide the GOP. He won't because he is too much of a narcissist to make the initial step and back down.
One last though from Sun Tsu. He states that you should never attack an enemy who is on dead ground. He defines dead ground as a place where an army must either fight or be annihilated. New York 23 showed that the GOP is now on dead ground. Any Republican who brakes ranks will be picked off by the Dems on the left or Tea Partiers on the right. This is why they were unable to buy off Snowe. But like I said Obama prefers Mao's little red book over Sun Tsu's masterwork.

Yeah, just go on shooting down every conservative candidate who isn’t 100%. Make sure Democrats win instead. That’ll show ‘em!

VDH ping.
I also loved Laura Ingraham's analysis ...
Don't let anyone convince you that Scott Brown's victory in Mass. isn't anything but monumental. This is a body blow to the Obamelosimanuel agenda and a repudiation of the course on which the President has put our nation. At the same time, beware those Republicans who claim this victory as theirs. Until a few weeks ago the RNC wasn't even really dialed into what was happening in Massachusetts. It wasn't so long ago when certain GOP elites were quietly turning their noses up at the raw raucous energy of the tea parties. Make no mistake about it--were it not for talk radio and the tea party/townhall events of last summer, healthcare would have passed long ago and you probably would have never heard of Scott Brown. He saw an opportunity, respected the will of the people and ran a great campaign--a classic American success story. Now it's time to roll up our sleeves and take back our power from the other political frauds who are destroying what we love about America. Congressmen Barney Frank, John Murtha, Luis Gutierrez, Jim McDermott, Sheila Jackson Lee (just to name a few) should all be forced to find new work in this glorious Obama economy. Congrats to Sen. Scott Brown and to all of you across the country who helped him.

Have you read any of my posts? Seriously? I’m not shooting down anyone. I’m taking issue with the label “conservative”.

I’m ecstatic about this! Where did I say I’m not happy? I’m questioning how someone who is pro-choice can be labeled “conservative”? He’s a mainstream Republican.
You can never be overly cautious about what the media defines as a “conservative”, and I guarantee you JimRob would agree with that. I think there’s a chance that Brown will become more conservative on abortion. Wonderful if he does. But until then, he’s a mainstream Republican, in my opinion.
What if he were pro-life and pro-taxes? Would you define him as a conservative then? What if he were pro-life and pro-gay rights? See what I mean? There’s a disconnect that I don’t understand. How can Brown be conservative on all the social issues EXCEPT abortion? It doesn’t make sense, and so, I object to the label “conservative”.
