The problem with the “brand” argument is that he contributes exactly nothing to what people think of the Republicans. Its not like people say “oh, the Republicans, that’s the party of Cao”. There are no negatives whatsoever.

And the positives (breaking people’s allergies, as you say, the occasional votes, and possibly the occasional convert to something other than the non-stop propaganda heard in these districts) far outweigh the non-existent negatives.

Eh?? The Democraps wouldnt be on the verge of ramming their unpopular nationalizations through if they had your attitude.

There are at least 45 Dem reps in the house in clearly Republican districts. Guys like Chet Edwards (Tx) and Walt Minnick (Id) who are in extremely Republican areas who vote for Pelosi as leader and here and there for the Democrap agenda.

Thats how it works in America, you have to take what you can and let the "leadership" do their thing. Thankgod Obama and his people have overreached (I hope).

I agree, although the argument is more persuasive when applied to a Senator.
